This presentation outlines the development and implementation of a novel teaching approach aimed at enhancing pediatric/maternity healthcare education by bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical bedside care. Faced with the challenge of transitioning from passive learning in traditional lab/lecture settings, faculty recognized the need for a more dynamic and immersive educational experience. With a focus on promoting active participation and fostering cohesive teamwork among students, the approach involved the development of mini or quick activities to reinforce knowledge from the previous lecture. These activities were designed to engage students in practical application exercises, ensuring that all participants actively contributed and collaborated in small group settings. Over the course of multiple sessions spanning three hours each week, this innovative teaching solution facilitated the translation of theoretical concepts into hands-on clinical skills, ultimately enhancing the learning experience for nursing students.
