• What’s all the latest buzz about Next Generation NCLEX® (NGN)? • Discuss the evidence to support bridging the gap from education to practice by cultivating clinical judgment. • Provide an overview of the NCSBN's Clinical Judgment Measurement Model® (NCJMM) to promote safe and effective clinical practice. • Connect the dots to assist in preparing new graduates for the reality of nursing practice. • Discuss evidence-based educational best practices and creative teaching strategies to foster and develop clinical judgment .
Afternoon Workshop: Assessing Clinical Judgment
• Discuss the different methods of formative and summative assessment for assessing clinical judgment. • Provide an overview of the NGN question styles for assessing clinical judgment, including case studies. • Discuss blueprinting to create a strong foundation map test items to the NCLEX® test plan, QSEN competencies, Nursing Process, NCJMM etc. and the importance of a testing policy. • Discuss best practices and strategies for writing and evaluating Next Generation NCLEX® formatted test items and exams.
