Emily Nelson is a dedicated nurse educator with experience in both clinical practice and academic instruction. She earned her BSN from NDSU Sanford and currently holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Nursing Education, which she earned from the University of Phoenix. Emily is passionate about shaping the next generation of nurses, bringing real-world experience from her years in medical surgical and emergency nursing into the classroom. Emily is certified in BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ASLS, and PALS. Currently, she serves as an instructor at North Dakota State College of Science, where she teaches courses in medical-surgical nursing and oversees clinical rotations. Emily also works as an RN in the local critical access ER in Breckenridge, MN. Emily is dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment and is actively involved in curriculum development and student mentorship. In her free time, she enjoys life with her husband, daughter, and their beloved cat and dog.
