Dr. Megan Vaughan Stevens, DNP, RN, NPD-BC, IBCLC is faculty and nurse tutor at Green River College in Auburn, WA. She obtained her BSN from the University of Northern Colorado and DNP from the University of Washington. Dr. Stevens holds a board certification in Nursing Professional Development and is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. Dr. Stevens has been an RN for close to 20 years and her clinical nursing experience has primarily been in the realm of women and children's health. She was recruited into clinical teaching one year into her nursing practice and has never looked back! A diverse educator, she has taught in LPN programs, pre-licensure and bridge BSN programs, as well as at the Doctoral level. For many years, she worked as an in-hospital educator and professional development specialist, as well as serving as a nurse manager. The past 2 years have found Dr. Stevens working as a nurse tutor, supporting both LPN and BSN students in their nursing education journeys.
