Dr. Sandra L. Kohler, DNP, MSN, BSN, RN, has been active in nursing since 1988 when she obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Kohler worked clinically in the acute care/cardiac intensive care setting until 2015. She started teaching in 1999 and has taught at all levels of the nursing program at Anoka-Ramsey Community College and has been in administrative roles intermittently since 2007. She continued to advance in nursing and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2006 and her DNP from American Sentinel University in 2020. Dr. Kohler moved into a full-time administrative role at Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) in 2015 as the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health. She has been involved in the holistic admissions process since 2018 with a focus on equity and student success. She has most recently spearheaded research into what are the predictors for student success in the nursing program.
