Shara Stidham is the lead Course Coordinator for the Maternal Child Curriculum at Tulsa
Community College in Tulsa, OK. She also serves as Chairperson for the Simulation
Committee; helping ensure up-to-date practices within the simulated learning environment for
students and faculty.
Shara earned her BSN from Langtson University and her MSN from the University of Oklahoma.
She has been an obstetrical nurse for 18 years; 16 of which were devoted to inpatient care of
the high-risk obstetrical patient population. Shara entered nursing academia in 2021 when she
joined Tulsa Community College Nursing Program as an Assistant Professor. During her time at
TCC, Shara has lead the implementation of TeamBirth Curriculum and served as the site
principal investigator in a research project with TeamBirth. This project educated
students on patient-centered communication and encourages teamwork across all disciplines.
