Dr. Deborah Amason is a Professor of Nursing who has been an active member of the nursing faculty at Georgia Highlands College for the past 25 years. Dr. Amason holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama, a Master's degree from Texas Woman's University, and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Georgia College and State University. After obtaining her master's degree she went into the field of nursing education. A passion she has grown to love over the years. For every year she has been a teacher, there are hundreds of students out there utilizing the information she has given them, and she is proud to be an educator. A role she has embraced for the past 45 years.
