ASSOCIATE LECTURER

Shelly Stefka is an Associate Lecturer of Nursing at Kent State University at Tuscarawas, where she has served as a faculty member since 2013. She teaches fundamental and medical-surgical nursing for first year associate degree students. She received her Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from Alderson-Broaddus University in Philippi, West Virginia, her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Kent State University Tuscarawas in New Philadelphia, Ohio, and her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Walden University, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ms. Stefka has several years work experience in medical-surgical, intensive care, and emergency department nursing. Prior to coming to Kent State, she was a lecturer with the Kaplan NCLEX review program. At Kent State Tuscarawas, she has been involved with simulation education and has published and presented on teaching methodologies and student success.
