Gwen started her nursing journey upon graduation from the College of St Benedict with her BSN in 1994. Her practice includes the acute care settings in Adult and Pediatrics. She began her clinical teaching at Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) in 2004. Gwen obtained her MSN with specialization in Nursing Education in December of 2009 from Gonzaga University. Her teaching focus has been medical surgical, foundation, and nursing leadership. In 2014, Gwen obtained her CNE certification. In addition, she received the MnSCU Board of Trustee Outstanding Educator Award in 2015. Her DNP is in Educational Leadership from American Sentinel University. Gwen is a Nursing Education Consultant (NEC) for Wolters Kluwer and has presented webinars on Concept-Based Teaching and Learning. In summer of 2023, Gwen began her role in the new position at ARCC of Associate Dean of Nursing.
