Dr. Murray has been a nurse for over 32 years and has had a wide breadth of nursing experience from flight nursing to healthcare facility management and nursing education. Her doctoral research focused on the impact of interprofessional simulation and readiness in health profession students. She has received national recognition as a Master Teacher in higher education and has presented her research at many national conferences. Dr. Murray has also achieved and maintained national certification as a Health Care Simulation Educator (CHSE). She currently is the Director of Nursing at Alaska Pacific University and a full Professor. In the last four years Dr. Murray has secured over 4 million dollars in grant funding to help grow the APU nursing program throughout Alaska.
