Dr. Gore has experience educating future nurses in undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. Dr. Gore has a Ph.D. in Adult Education and a DNP as a family nurse practitioner. Dr. Gore is an innovative, compassionate educator and an expert in the field of healthcare simulation. In 2021, she was inducted as a Fellow of the Society of Simulation in Healthcare Academy (FSSH) and selected as a Visionary Leader at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing Alumni. In 2018, she was inducted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN). Currently, Dr. Gore is working as an adjunct professor and the Content Manager for HealthySimulation.com.
During her career, Dr. Gore has led the development and integration of simulation into all undergraduate clinical courses and started an OSCE program for APRN students. In November 2010, she completed a Certificate in Simulation Education Program through Bryan LGH College of Health Sciences. Her research interests and scholarly work focus on simulation, online course development, and faculty development. She has published peer-reviewed manuscripts, co-authored simulation chapters, and presented nationally and internationally on simulation topics. In January 2013, she became a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE). In January 2014, she became a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator Advanced (CHSE-A). Dr. Gore is active in INACSL and SSH and has served as a Past President of INACSL.
