How do we better prepare our graduates for the ever-increasing role expectations for Registered Nurses which go well beyond performance of psychomotor skills? This presentation will describe a pilot project to increase the self-efficacy of senior nursing students in professional role performance by utilizing them as mentors for first semester students in the fundamentals skills lab. Project design and implementation details will be shared along with the results of our data regarding both the senior and the first semester student experience.
