Kathryn began her nursing career after graduating from Bacone College in 1991. Her nursing experience includes medical, surgical, oncology and maternal child nursing. She began her nursing education career as a clinical instructor in 2003 after earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. The attainment of her Master of Science in Nursing Education degree from the University of Oklahoma, in 2009, resulted in the transition to Level I Coordinator and Assistant Professor for an associate degree nursing program teaching fundamental and medical-surgical nursing courses. She then served as Chair of an Associate and Bachelor of Science degree nursing program but soon realized her passion was in teaching. She joined the team at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology as a nursing instructor in 2013 and has been teaching skills and simulation labs as the Simulation Lab Coordinator since 2017.
