A look into the role of a Nurse Tutor in a Career and Technical College LPN program; how it is structured, how the tutor role works, and the impacts it has on student learning and outcomes. Green River College is a Career and Technical College in western, WA. It offers both an LPN program (part time and full-time tracks) as well as an LPN to BSN program. A full-time faculty was hired in the Fall of 2023 with a 0.5 FTE dedicated to being a Nurse Tutor. The other 0.5 FTE was direct course teaching (lab and theory courses). This faculty plays a crucial role in supporting the academic and professional development of the nursing students across the programs.
