The challenge of hiring and retaining qualified faculty continues to be a barrier for nursing programs as they seek to maintain and expand student enrollment to meet the growing workforce demand for nurses. In this session, we will voice the perspectives of a dean, a department chair, and a full-time faculty in their journey to implement individualized appreciation techniques and the powerful impact these techniques have had in improving faculty retention. This session will provide participants with strategies to embrace the five appreciation languages to cultivate a healthy workplace culture conducive to longevity in the faculty role.
