This presentation outlines a partnership between Malcolm X College's School of Nursing and Rush University, CATCH-ON Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program to enhance geriatric nursing education. This initiative aims to address the shortage of skilled nursing professionals in geriatric and long-term care by integrating hands-on training and real-world experience into the curriculum, focusing on elderly care. Central to the educational strategy are the "4M's Pearls" (Mobility, Mind, Medication, What Matters), which guide learning objectives to prepare nursing students for seamless transition into professional roles, fostering a pathway of well-equipped nursing professionals.
