Assistant Professor of Nursing Georgia Highlands College Ball Ground, Georgia
This presentation introduces a paradigm shift within ASN education with evidence integration. It delineates a progressive journey across each semester, wherein students engage in use of evidence to support clinical decisions and diverse evidence-based projects. Commencing with community-centric endeavors and evolving to collaborative initiatives with hospital partners, the curriculum underscores an unwavering commitment to the application of evidence-based practice through experiential learning. The final evidence-based project in the final semester culminates in a significant symposium where students disseminate their evidence-based practice changes to the community. This integrated approach cultivates nurses adept at applying evidence in practice, enhancing healthcare standards.
