This workshop explores the integration of generative AI in nursing education, emphasizing its transformative potential for simulation-based learning. Participants will explore the healthcare simulation standards of best practice (HSSBOPTM) and the applications of open-access generative AI tools. An overview of basic definitions and terminology will be provided. The workshop will incorporate discussions on the benefits, challenges, and ethical considerations surrounding AI integration, and offer a guided hands-on experience for participants from all simulation skill levels to engage with using generative AI tools. Key objectives include understanding HSSOBPTM principles and AI’s potential, evaluating the benefits and challenges of AI integration, and considerations for applying AI-driven tools effectively. **Participants are encouraged to bring a device to actively participate in the process of developing an AI-assisted simulation scenario.

Explore the principles of Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice (HSSOBP) and the potential applications of generative AI in nursing education.
Discuss the benefits, challenges, and ethical considerations associated with integrating AI technologies into simulation-based education.
