Jodi began her nursing career as an honors graduate from the University of Tulsa in 1997. Her nursing experience includes a variety of acute/adult healthcare with an emphasis on critical care. Jodi also worked as a hospital educator and a nurse manager prior to shifting her career towards Nursing Education.
After working several years as a bedside RN, Jodi obtained her Master of Science in Nursing Education degree from the University of Oklahoma. She began her career in nursing education as an instructor and then Director of a practical nursing program before joining the OSUIT faculty in 2011.
Prior to serving as the Director of Nursing at OSUIT, Jodi taught Nursing Care of Adults I and II and LPN to RN Transition. In addition to her duties as the Director, Jodi continues to teach Introduction to Nutrition and Nursing Capstone and coordinates NCLEX-RN preparation for the senior nursing students.
In 2024 Jodi was named the Assistant Dean for Health Sciences in the School of Arts, Sciences & Health at OSUIT.
